Items I’m Loving from J. Crew Sale Section Right Now (Women’s)

Asheville used to have this amazing gem of a store called the J. Crew Clearance Center.  It was attached to a distribution center in Arden and it was ahhhhhhmazing.  They always ran fabulous promos on top of their sale prices. It was all first quality items, but a fraction of the price.  Everything was 50-75% off what you’d actually pay in a J. Crew or Madewell store.

Perhaps you noticed that I said, “used to have . . ”  It closed back in April of this year. <sob, sob, sob>  I’m not kidding–I literally shed a few tears over this store closing.  However, I’ve starting checking out the sale section at my regular J. Crew and have scored some fabulous items lately.  And all of their sale items are 30% off right now.  Here are a few of my favorites.

This smocked top is a trifecta of awesome:  comfortable, versatile, and flattering.  It washes beautifully, and I give it a quick steam with my steamer and I’m good to go.  Comes in a variety of colors.

I wasn’t sure about this linen metallic t-shirt, but I ended up loving it!  I sized down and still achieved a nice, slouchy fit.  It’s a classic silhouette with an unexpected finish.  This top also washes and dries beautifully.

These necklaces were a fantastic bargain!  I was on the fence with the aqua one based on the reviews on the website, but I’m so happy I picked it up!  I ended up getting it in two colors and have already worn it with dresses and the metallic t-shirt for a casual, yet elevated, “night out” look.  I picked up the oval link necklace on a whim in a blush color.  Also a great piece to instantly dress up any outfit.

This swimsuit ran true to size (TTS), and was really cute.  It almost went home with me, but I couldn’t bring myself to buy a bathing suit with sleeves.  It comes in other colors too.

I have a couple of these tops.  They are also comfortable, but flattering.  My torso has not snapped back from baby #2 like I had hoped it would.  This top has some nice shaping without fitting too closely.  The only drawback that I’ve found to this top is that it doesn’t fit well under a sweater.  I tried once, and ended up looking like a linebacker.

What are some of your favorites in the J. Crew sale section right now?
